Attrezzo di uso non semplicissimo.L’utilità è indubbia, il supporto ha un’inclinazione a 45 gradi, esattamente quello che serve per fare il cosiddetto “becco di civetta”, il taglio angolare per la giunzione di piastrelle ad angolo.Sul supporto va montata una smerigliatrice angolare che, grazie all’inclinazione ricavata, sarà in grado di praticare il taglio spostando sul bordo della piastrella tutto l’attrezzo assemblato.Abbordabile il lavoro su grosse piastrelle, dove il peso e le dimensioni delle stesse offrono un’area di lavoro più o meno sicura durante il taglio.Decisamente più difficile il taglio su piastrelle di dimensioni ridotte, dove, a meno di bloccaggio della piastrella su un banco di lavoro con dei morsetti, il lavoro è molto più complicato.Solo per professionisti, non adatto per il fai da te.

This tile chamfering tool is a simple device which allows you to cut a 45-degree angle into a tile or other similar item. Thus creates a perfect join between two of them, for a corner of a wall, and have them meet perfectly. It has a simple design which when attached to an angle grinder, keeps the grinder at a 45-degree angle to create the cut.I found it easy enough to attach the tool to my angle grinder and it was attached securely with no movement. One side of the tool is folded over and this is used to keep the tool straight as you cut as it slides along the edge of the tile you are cutting. You do have a little adjustment on the tool which can be done by unscrewing the four nuts and sliding it in or out to get the cutting disc into the position you need. Along the edge of this adjustable layer, are straight lines which are etched into the bottom section so you can easily see if you’ve adjusted it squarely which is a really simple, but handy feature to ensure a straight cut.I found this tool extremely easy to use as it was simple to move the cutting disc to the edge of the tile to get a perfect cut along the edge. For bigger tiles, I had to cut the tile close to size first before using this tool as this is designed to only cut the edges at a 45-degree angle, and there’s not a lot of adjustment for larger tiles. For its simple design, the tile tool works well and gives a nice cut which meets up perfectly with other tiles that have been cut with the same tool….
