This is the first backpack for cameras I have owned and I have been researching them for a few weeks now (in-store and online) before I purchased this one. This backpack has lots of room for gear. There are at least two spots for SLR/DSLR cameras (one has a strap to hold it secure) and other spaces for several lenses and/or flash. It comes with a waterproof/rain jacket/cover (I have not tested this feature, though). It feels comfortable to wear. There is a compartment for a tablet or small laptop. You can move around the inserts held in by hook and loop ("Velcro") to arrange your bag how you desire. There are two straps on the side for a monopod/tripod (I would have preferred it to be on the bottom though for balance). There are a couple of things I don't like. Firstly, it may just be me, but, oddly, the opening to the main compartment is on the inside (closest to where you wear it against your body), unlike every other backpack I have used where the opening to the main compartment is on the outside. Secondly, there are no pockets on the side with zippers, only pouches held shut by elastic; I would like to keep things more securely held than elastic. Thirdly, there are no compartments to keep things securely inside with zippers for SD cards, filters, batteries, etc.Overall, this is a decent camera backpack. This one has many of the features of more expensive ones. The opening in the rear and lack of any extra zippered pockets lowers my score, though--I don't understand why they made it that way.

I can't say that I loved this backpack even though I also can't say I hated it. It was just ok. Functionality I think I where I had the issue. I may not be the most intelligent person, but it took me a while to figure out how to even open the make part of this case. That should not be the situation, and it should not take more than one zipper. There is a multi stage process, and I sort of get it, having the internal zipper there to perhaps protect your gear. But it just wasn't for me. I did, however, like the fact that you could access the compartment holding the camera itself from the outside for those quick shots that come along. The interior was also easily configurable for different sizes of equipment.Overall, not really blown away. 4 stars.

I like this bag a lot it has a removable hip/waist strap which I may use if I’m going on a long hike but it carries great without it. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because I don’t have my last kens for my kit so I don’t know yet if it will handle my gear well. The tripod pouch is great and so is the side zipper for easy access to my camera. Overall great bag I have like four TARION bags so they’re doing something right
