I’ve been running the Synology DS423+ continuously since July 2023 in a 24x7 environment, and its performance has been rock-solid. The DSM (DiskStation Manager) OS is one of the most polished and feature-complete NAS operating systems out there, offering excellent containerization, virtualization, and network services capabilities.I’ve upgraded the RAM to 10GB and installed two NAS-grade drives (totaling 6TB). The system is currently running multiple Docker containers, virtual machines via Synology Virtual Machine Manager, a PostgreSQL database, and a Plex Media Server—all concurrently. Despite this demanding workload, resource usage remains balanced, and system responsiveness is consistently fast.Cross-platform compatibility is excellent, I have been using it on all my devices: Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux devices. Remote access using Synology’s DDNS and basic port forwarding is straightforward and secure with appropriate firewall and reverse proxy configurations.The DS423+ delivers excellent performance and feature depth at a very reasonable price point. It’s a rock-solid choice for anyone looking to run a hybrid of media streaming, virtualization, and development environments on a single, compact NAS.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden!Füge einfach zwei 2-TB-Festplatten WD Red Plus hinzu und starte die Installation. Nach wenigen Minuten war alles fertig. Ein paar Computerkenntnisse sind erforderlich. Sehr leise. Einfache Einrichtung . Kompakt für zu Hause. Kostenlose und effektive Synology-Software. Drive App, um alles andere online zu sehen.

This is the only NAS I’ve ever owned but it does exactly as I need it to do. Installing the hard drive was super easy and their software is top notch. I was also able to migrate all of my google photos over to Synology (although exporting years of photos from Google is a pain). It’s expensive but it works well
