A dab of grease on the bolt threads really smoothed it, was a bit stiff. Works great, easy blade swaps. Nice wooden handle.

I was about to start replacing skirting board throughout the house and had seen a YouTube video about coping the corner joints rather than just cutting at 45 degrees and hoping that the wall corners were exactly 90 degrees (they seldom are). So bought this saw to try cope sawing the profiles needed. It worked! I now have very tight, neat looking corners and even the angles around the bay window. The saw is excellent value and comes with an assortment of blades, it is well made and the blades are sharp and while thin are tough enough to be steered around tight corners without breaking I probably cut around 24 profiles without problem with the blade that came fitted before I broke it by being a bit impatient and ham fisted. I only cut about 4 more with the replacement blade. I doubt I'll ever replace skirting boards again so the saw will now go into honourable retirement. At the price paid this is not a problem. If you need a coping saw for a one off job or regular use buy this one.
