I bought the guitar version for my son last year and being a Green Day fan he loved it. When I started to play the bass this year it was an obvious choice. As with all Amazon orders to date the delivery was excellent. The book and cd make playing as easy as possible, as a beginner I found that I have trouble playing fast enough, a half speed track on the cd could be useful. Since buying this I have loaded the Songster app onto my I Pad which has pretty much all the Green Day tabs for all instruments along with 400,000 other songs. It tracks the tab at full or half speed and provides a less authentic backing track. My advice would be get songster to learn the tabs but then once you can keep up use the authentic backing track to play along to it's much more fun!We also have the Dark Side of the Moon books from this series and they are great too.
