Vater Classics

Questi profili e dimensioni sono stati alcuni dei modelli principali nel mondo delle bacchette fin dalla nascita del "trap set". Jack Adams [Alan & Ron Vater's Grandfather] ha anche girato a mano alcuni di questi profili di bacchette al Jack's Drum Shop di Boston negli anni '50 e '60. Avanti rapidamente agli anni '80, prima del lancio del marchio Vater, la famiglia Vater si è ritrovata tornitura trasformando questi stessi disegni a bastone per il loro più grande cliente che ora è uno dei nostri concorrenti diretti.

Un po 'sottomesso in presa rispetto al popolare Vater 5B. Classics 5B è molto versatile in molte applicazioni musicali e stili di riproduzione con le sue dimensioni di presa molto confortevole.

Perfect taper (that is, hardly any), perfect diameter (that is, just enough and no more) and perfect wood. Thanks Vater!

I chose these sticks because the reviews had said they are heavy and durable and can withstand the pressure of hitting hard. I find that these sticks are incredibly inconsistent. I bought 4 pairs of these sticks, the first being amazingly durable and lasted me almost 10 days. The second pair didn't last as long, perhaps 5 days, but still not Vic Firth bad. The third pair was noticeably lighter than the first 2 pairs, and broke within 30 minutes of playing. The sticks are completely worth the cheaper price, but be aware that each stick is different.After playing these for a year, the quality has definitely dipped. I can't get more than one week out of these sticks anymore. They take a bit to get chewed up, but once 1 crack is out, the entire stick disintegrates within a day or two. Be aware that there's a reason these are cheaper.

Vater 3A Nylon tips are my go to sticks with my metal style of play. They are slightly heavy to give power and well balanced to add versatility with dynamics. I've been using them for about 20 years, and really like the feel of them. I've tried a number of different styles and types but always go back to these. The nylon tips are nice on the ride, to ping out every note with its ball type shape. The sticks are a little shorter than the 5A/B's, which are very popular but never really liked the tips on them. The shorter stick, in my opinion, gives better control and has a quick feel dispite the heavy weight.I know a handful of metal drummers that use these and when they switched to them, they really liked them a lot, and dumped their old sticks.
