Being all wired makes things easier, connected your pickups and just fit wiring in and be done

Purchased to rewire a Gibson to add a pair of coil splitting humbuckers. Harness had wires cut to adequate length - ends were pre-tinned. Wires were decent gauge and flexible. Some solder joints were loose and needed rework. Tone capacitor (.047 mf mylar) was soldered to the push-pull pot incorrectly. Volume pot is very stiff - tone pot is better. Push-pull action is good with a nice easy pull and positive clicking. 3 way switch is pretty good actually - nice smooth action. Switch poker chip is a thick aluminum stamping with rough edges and poorly etched text - it's too thick for the purpose, would scratch the finish if used on a guitar and could only work on flat bodies - any slight curve in a top would risk damaging the guitar. Output jack is okay - has good tension and plugs are held tightly with good contact. Pots are metric sized, so you need to replace USA vintage knobs with metric tops.All told, you probably are better off rolling your own than getting this kit - it seems like a time saver and an economy, but the rework required and the iffy quality of the components makes this less a bargain than it appears. After testing my pickups in circuit, the experience was unsatisfying. The volume control was so stiff, I ended up desoldering the harness and rewiring the guitar with its stock components. I'll probably keep the components for the spares box, but I'll desolder them from the wires.

Push/ pull tone didn't work. Wired entirely v wrong can't b touch wires to v any connection point and click up works. Waste of money

Easy to solder my new pickups onto and install in my explorer kit guitar.

I will update this review when I get a reply from the seller. This is my first build so I wanted to keep it simple. I've done a lot of research into the wiring side of things and I can't find a a diagram or video that has the push pull wired like that. The middle prongs are supposed to be the common or input if you will. Just going off what I know so far it's similar to a bright switch. Anybody got a thought on this. I've posted a question.
